English IGDI Assessments
The English Individual Growth and Development Indicators (IGDIs) are a suite of early language and literacy assessments designed to measure the precursors to emerging reading, aligned with the science of structured reading. The measures include indicators of:
IGDIs are in a class of measures called General Outcome Measures (GOMS), that require they are:
- Each measure is brief (3-5 minute)
- Easy to use
- Instructionally relevant
- Related to long-term outcomes
- Sensitive to change over brief periods of time
